  • Meditation in Motion Studio becomes the first sponsoring business of the Communities of Peace program in Staunton.
  • A special day-long “peace party” is held in June 2004 at Gypsy Hill Park, sponsored by Meditation in Motion Studio.  A section of the Children’s Cloth of Many Colors is made by children from the Genesis School.  A peace pole and peace garden is donated for the park.  
  • A Community of Peace program on children with advanced awareness is held.
  • Conversations begin with officials from the Augusta County School System and the Children’s Art Network about the inclusion of the Emissary of Peace program in their systems.
  • Conversations begin with Mary Baldwin College about intern programs for the Community of Peace.
  • Conversations begin with various religious representatives about an interfaith approach to the Staunton Community of Peace program.
  • Children (K-Kids”) at Clymore Elementary School begin an exchange program with elementary schoolchildren in Costa Rica.

  • A special Community of Peace office is opened at 219 Beverley Street.
  • Conversations begin with James Madison University regarding collaboration with the Emissary of Peace program.
